GEOSAT

Presentation

The GEOSAT Group develops next-generation 3D mapping (HD Maps) that will enable the generation of specific, high-performance applications for mobility and for frugal and resilient cities. With more than 600 employees in 3 countries, it is developing R&D initiatives to optimise the processing of geospatial data based on artificial intelligence.

Projects / Use Cases

  • ZEHNS project (Autonomous and Connected Vehicle Test Zone) : ZEHNS – Zone d’Expérimentation à Haut Niveau de Service pour le véhicule Automatisé et Connecté (High-Level Service Test Zone for Automated and Connected Vehicles)

This ZEHNS POC (proof of concept) will cover a limited area starting at the Saugnacq-et-Muret interchange and ending at the Labouheyre interchange, for a total length of 30 kilometres, and will make it possible to:  provide entities wishing to conduct tests on connected, cooperative and automated mobility (manufacturers of autonomous vehicles, academics, third parties, etc.) with high-level service environments (connected / cooperative, high-definition mapping, radio landmarks, etc.), support them in implementing their tests, propose and develop new on-demand use cases and offer them the opportunity to benefit from a service offering to evaluate their tests, etc.

This ZEHNS POC will also make it possible to validate the technical and economic feasibility of a more extensive and complete zone, which could extend from Bordeaux to the Spanish border.

  • GAMMS (European project for the automated generation of HD maps): https://gamms.eu/
  • AI4GEO (French consortium for the development of A.I. for spatial data processing):

www.ai4geo.eu is an R&D programme with an industrial research phase aimed at removing the technological barriers to the automatic production of 2D and 3D Geographic Information with semantic content – key information used in high value-added services based on innovative Artificial Intelligence methods adapted to 3D imagery and Big Data technologies.
