A subsidiary of the EIFFAGE Group, AREA is a motorway concession company.... For more than 50 years, we have been financing, building, maintaining and modernising the infrastructure entrusted to us by the French government: the APRR and AREA networks. Our objective and our responsibility is to ensure that everyone can travel smoothly and safely.

Projects / Use Cases

InDiD :
On the pilot site at the FLEURY toll booth on the A6 motorway in the Paris region, implementation of connectivity use cases linked to a Level 3–4 autonomous vehicle enabling it to pass through a toll booth and navigate road markings. Partners: VALEO, IGN and TOMTOM.

SCALE:
AREA is responsible for managing the Centre-East Pilot Site, one of the key features of which is the definition of use cases for connected and automated vehicles: managing critical situations in tunnels and managing vehicle behaviour in response to interventions by the road operator. Partners: VALEO, CETU.
