Nouvelle Aquitaine Region

Since 1 January 2016, Aquitaine, Limousin and Poitou-Charentes have been united within a single regional authority. Attractive and complementary, these regions possess all the assets needed to inspire confidence and ambition: agriculture, economy, industry, tourism and culture.  As France’s largest region, Nouvelle-Aquitaine is a rich, diverse and attractive area, covering 84,100 km² comprised of 12 departments.

As part of its policy to promote more sustainable and connected mobility, the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region proposes to participate in a pilot project focused on ‘managing  express and intercity bus traffic’ using technology that enables communication between vehicles and infrastructure, with the aim of improving traffic flow, enhancing safety and encouraging a shift towards public transport.
