UTAC

Presentation

UTAC carries out development, validation and fine-tuning tests in its laboratories. These cover electromagnetic compatibility (EMC), acoustics, engine emissions and pollution, fatigue and endurance testing, passive and active vehicle safety, and suspension systems. UTAC is also commissioned by the French authorities to carry out all tests aimed at establishing the compliance of vehicles and their equipment with the directives issued by the European Commission. The company is one of the official laboratories of the independent European body Euro NCAP. UTAC also carries out tests at the request of the United Nations.

One of these areas of activity, automotive connectivity, has led UTAC to participate in the SCALE project, contributing primarily to matters relating to automotive certification and testing.

Involvement in SCALE:

As part of the SCALE project, UTAC is actively involved in the Ile-de-France pilot site, helping to support the site’s automotive partners with the testing and refinement of their use cases. UTAC is also involved in the following working groups:

  • Certification and validation sites
  • Architecture and hybridisation
  • Technology watch
  • Technical evaluation
  • Safety
  • Training
