General presentation

Two major types of services are considered in the project :

• Information, alert and user advice services, coming from a road manager vehicle or from another type of vehicle.
• Data collection services and data fusion for road managers, to enable them to improve traffic knowledge and interventions on events.

The services tested during the first wave of deployment are :

• Onboard signaling - unexpected and dangerous events
• Road work alert
• Data collection

These services are linked to the EU Directive 2010/40 priority actions, regarding intelligent transport systems, and more precisely road safety actions.
