A seminar “Connected Vehicle: The SCOOP@F Project, Results and Perspectives” was held on April 5-6, 2018, at the IFSTTAR auditorium in Champs-sur-Marne.
This seminar brought together over 170 participants from all over France and Europe, who were able to assess the extent of the project’s work in all aspects: specifications and tests, safety and privacy, the operational system, ex-ante evaluation, ex-post evaluation, European harmonization, and deployment strategies. The Q&A sessions were rich and allowed for a broad and open debate.
SCOOP@F-equipped vehicles, including Renault Mégane, PSA C4, and DS4, already on sale, were presented to the participants. A roundtable with the European Commission discussed French and European perspectives on the large-scale deployment of C-ITS, as well as the link to autonomous vehicles.
The event concluded with a video address by the Minister of Transport, Élisabeth Borne, who reaffirmed France’s ambitions for innovation towards more connected mobility.
